This module enables you to acquire academic awareness and skills essential for Year One undergraduate study, and to increase your understanding of how these SHAPE (Social Sciences, Humanities, and the Arts for People and the Economy) skills are transferable to the workplace. You will develop confidence in a higher education context, improve your study, library and collaborative skills. You will critically analyse and evaluate texts and learn to express yourself proficiently and appropriately, verbally and in writing.
