Most data science projects start with a problem to be solved. In this module you’ll learn how your data science skills can be put to work to solve problems in a creative way – even extending to the design of user-friendly tools for those who will use your work.

We'll begin by analysing fundamental concepts of design and creativity. You'll learn to demonstrate creativity in crafting data-driven solutions. Problem-solving will become an exercise in both design and effectiveness. You'll develop the ability to generate innovative ideas and constructively critique your own work and the work of your peers.

This module offers the opportunity to research real-world examples of ideation and design. Inspired by these examples, you'll embark on designing and building your own data-driven tools.
