This module provides the basic grounding in the underlying pathophysiology of human diseases, with a particular focus on current treatment strategies for a range of human diseases. By considering these treatment strategies you will gain an appreciation for the inadequacies and unmet clinical needs. You will use specific examples to appraise current research aims, models and methods designed to facilitate the understanding, diagnosis or treatment of disease. This module will equip you with a range of transferable skills including written communication, team work, problem solving and information handling.
