Approaching Ancient Evidence (Greek)

This module is the essential first step in your training as a Greek historian. Through a combination of lectures and small-group seminars, you will be taught the key skills for dealing with ancient evidence. In the finest Leicester tradition, you will combine your study of written sources with archaeological evidence, learning to identify and decipher short inscriptions and texts, as well as getting to grips with the specialist terminology we use to describe coins, pots, buildings and other important historical sources.
