LawRISE: Reflect, Include, Succeed, Evolve
LawRISE is a collaborative initiative between students and staff at the University of Leicester Law School that strives to eradicate barriers faced by members of the Law School, particularly those from underrepresented and marginalised groups.
LawRISE seeks to foster an inclusive environment and enhance satisfaction, ensuring that issues are heard and addressed appropriately. Ultimately, it aims to drive positive change within the Leicester Law School and beyond.
LawRISE:
- Drives policy change in the Law School through structured dialogue between board members and students.
- Champions diversity across the Law School, including an annual cultural event celebrating inclusion in action.
- Connects students, academics, and professionals through panel events featuring external speakers, advancing the conversation on EDI across the profession within the university and beyond.
- Equips students to navigate EDI-related obstacles while fostering a shared understanding among staff and students.
- Cultivates an inclusive environment where students and staff succeed and thrive.
