Information security

The University depends on systems and procedures, both computer-based and manual, to process information to support its activities.

Information is one of the key assets of the University and it is essential that is appropriately secured. Information Assurance Services plays a key role in providing the framework to develop and maintain an information security culture.

Information Assurance Service's provides the following services:

• developing and maintaining a comprehensive information security policy
• implementing a programme for the embedding of information security policy, and undertaking audits to monitor compliance
• working with both internal and external auditors to ensure standards are maintained.
