12th for Population Health Sciences research in REF2021
We are delighted with our recent performance in the 2021 Research Excellence Framework (REF2021), in which we placed 12th in the UK for our overall research quality (GPA) out of 31 submissions to UoA 2 Public Health, Health Services and Primary Care (according to analysis by the Times Higher Education).
In addition:
- 96% of our research outputs in UoA 2 Public Health, Health Services and Primary Care were judged to be ‘world-leading’ (4*) or ‘internationally excellent’ (3*)
- Over half (56%) of our Research Outputs were judged to be ‘world leading’ in REF2021
- 50% of our Research Impact in UoA 2 was judged to be ‘Outstanding’ in REF2021
