Graduation
Dates and times
Our January 2026 ceremonies are currently scheduled to take place on Thursday 15 January and Friday 16 January, but this is subject to change.
Information regarding the splits and times when each Department/School is graduating in January 2026 will be published closer to the date of the ceremonies.
Don't forget, if any of your contact details change between now and your graduation, you will need to update these on your My Student Record or email graduation@le.ac.uk with your full name and student ID number.
Information for those unable to attend
If you cannot attend a future graduation ceremony, or you do not wish to, you can graduate “in absentia”. This means that you choose to graduate without attending a ceremony and in such cases your certificate and transcript (if applicable) will be sent by post to the address you have provided within two weeks of your ceremony. Even though you may not be able to attend your ceremony, this will still be the date that you graduate as your award would be conferred on the date of your intended ceremony.
You will still be invited to complete online graduation registration, where you will be asked to confirm if you are unable to attend and also to provide the address to send your graduation documents to.
