Annual Fund Telephone Campaign

Every year a team of committed and enthusiastic students take part in our annual telephone campaign, speaking to alumni and friends to thank them for their continued support and to raise vital philanthropic funds for the University's Greatest Need and Student Support Funds.

Donations to the Greatest Need Fund are unrestricted, which allows the University to adapt and respond to changing circumstances. The Greatest Need Fund could be utilised to invest in new research opportunities, to provide financial aid to students or to support specific academic programmes.

The Student Support Fund specifically enables the University to quickly to those students who are most in need, such as those experiencing severe financial hardship. Support from this Fund allows the University to provide them with additional resources to help them to achieve their potential.

Our team of student callers keep our alumni and friends updated on current student life at Leicester, while also sharing the latest University news and ways in which alumni and friends can be involved. After all, it is our connection to our alumni and friends which forms the foundation of our ever-growing University community.

We recruit a new team of paid student callers at the beginning of each academic year. These students receive training and support to ready them for the calling campaign, which takes place each autumn. Being part of the calling campaign is also an excellent opportunity for the students to make new friends and earn valuable work experience.
