Partners and affiliated student groups
We are honoured to partner with a number of organisations serving the homeless population in Leicester. Additionally, we are affiliated with two student groups who support and further Project LIGHT’s mission by raising awareness and seeking to make a difference in the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness.
Homeless Charter Leicester
Leicester’s Homelessness Charter aims to improve the way organisations and individuals work together to tackle homelessness in the city, and to harness the enthusiasm of those who want to get involved but don’t know how.

Action Homeless
Action Homeless is a thriving local charity and social enterprise based in Leicester and Leicestershire. We are committed to delivering high quality homes and personalised support which enables people to break the cycle of homelessness and go on to lead happy and fulfilled lives. We are proud to have been helping people who are experiencing homelessness in our local community for 50 years.

The Bridge
The Bridge Homelessness to Hope is a charity in Leicester that provides support and advocacy to anyone over the age of 18 who is experiencing homelessness. This includes those who are rough sleeping, sofa surfing, and people who are in temporary or unsuitable accommodation.
Inclusion Health
A social enterprise providing healthcare to vulnerable people in Leicester. Working with asylum seekers, homeless and other marginalised people. An employee-led primary healthcare service with an outstanding CQC rating.

No. 5
Leicester Recovery Hub (No. 5) is a Centre for street drinkers which provides housing advice, activities, coffee bar and access to facilities such as washing, phone and internet.
Dear Albert
Dear Albert helps individuals to stop taking alcohol and drugs. They also specialise in working directly with providers of substance misuse services and other organisations to achieve better outcomes.
The Centre Project
The Centre Project is a local charity based in Leicester City Centre that supports vulnerable people in the community. We aim to reach those who are most excluded from our society to reduce isolation and promote wellbeing. The Centre Project is a place where those who are alone and socially isolated can find acceptance, a sense of belonging and renewed purpose.

SoundCafe
SoundCafe provides safe creative spaces for people (our guests) who are homeless, have lived experience, at risk of homelessness or socially isolated or living in vulnerable housing in Leicester and Leicestershire, to enable them to explore their own creativity.
Turning Point
For nearly sixty years we’ve worked closely with commissioners, GPs, clinicians and communities, providing innovative and high quality person-centred services to those who need them.

This student group is a member of LUSUMA and was created for students who are unable to commit to the Project LIGHT training, but wish to participate in fundraising and raising awareness of Project LIGHT.

Pro Bono Project LIGHT
This student group is a collaboration between Leicester Law School and Leicester Medical School, Project LIGHT provide healthcare and legal support to homeless people in Leicester, through volunteering opportunities with the City Council and local charities such as The Bridge, Action Homeless and the Y Support Project.
