In this extract, our interviewee talks about her first job as a facsimilie reproductionist in the print room, taking copies of legal documents, and subsequent roles as a school dinnerlady and a relief warden for the elderly.
Younger male - NBDE4
In this extract, our interviewee talks about his use of language, and how this is explicitly influenced by his family. He describes his parents' attempts to "enforce how to speak properly".
Younger female - NBDE3
In this extract, our interviewee talks about her observations of the differences in language use from one part of Chesterfield to another. She interestingly makes reference to the different ways that people pronounce her name in different areas.
