Teaching and learning
You will need to complete between one and two assignments for each 8-week module and deadlines are spread out to allow time to focus on completing these. Some modules will ask you to complete long and short essays, while others will involve project work, reports, reviews, briefs, evaluations, and project or programme design.
As many of our distance learners are already working in the sector, you are not expected to complete a work placement as part of your course. However, as a student with us, you will be able to tap into the huge range of professional contacts we have developed over many years, and if you feel you need to, you can explore with us the possibilities for filling any gaps in your experience.
You will be assessed through your coursework assignments and, if you are taking an MA/MSc, through your dissertation.
I’ve benefited greatly from the extensive range of module topics. They’ve filled my knowledge gaps and have enabled me to have a deeper and better understanding, not only of art museums and galleries, but of the whole art ecosystem.
