Archaeology and Ancient History
Outreach
The School of Archaeology and Ancient History, working closely with ULAS, collaborates with organisations of all sizes, including local authorities, museums, heritage sites, charities, education providers and community organisations to co-design and deliver programmes and events that maximise social and economic impact and remove barriers to participation.
We have a track record of supporting and empowering young people through learning programmes, placements, work experience and enrichment opportunities with a focus on local archaeology, heritage and the study of the ancient world.
Many of our staff and students are involved in this work regionally, nationally and internationally. Current projects and partnerships are detailed below.
Leicester and East Midlands Classics Network in partnership with the national charity Classics for All
The Network supports state schools (primary and secondary) in the East Midlands teaching any aspect of the ancient Greek and Roman world. Please contact acc-cori@le.ac.uk to find out more, or you can find out more about Classics for All and learn more about what we do and our networks.

A major knowledge exchange programme includes academic support for the development of the Museum interpretation and a new comprehensive guide to the Jewry Wall. Activities encompass collaborative learning programmes and enrichment opportunities focused on local Roman heritage and cross-sector events, such as a Creative Roman family day with local partners.
