Information Assurance Services

We provide advice, support and guidance on information-related legal compliance matters affecting the University.

We also enable the University to fulfil statutory obligations in relation to:

Data protection - we maintain and support the University’s Code of Practice for Data Protection which is designed to ensure full compliance with the legislation.
Freedom of information - we are fully committed to compliance with the Freedom of Information Act and the underlying principle of transparency. We have responsibility for the maintenance and development of the University’s Code of Practice for Freedom of Information.
Information security - we play a key role in providing the framework to develop and maintain an information security culture.
Records management - we ensure that records of importance for the continuing operation of the University are identified and managed in an effective and systematic manner.
