2121: Founders of the Future
Driving a second century of change through the power of philanthropy
2121: Founders of the Future
The University of Leicester’s primary mission has been consistent since it opened its doors in 1921. We exist to make the world a better place to live for everyone.
As we stand at the vanguard of our next 100 years, it is time to look forward - echoing both the actions and sentiments of our original founders by launching an exciting new campaign that reaches into the 22nd Century.
Ambitious, comprehensive and inclusive in its approach, 2121: Founders of the Future will help to transform the University of Leicester’s societal impact through the next three to four generations of global ‘Citizens of Change’ and beyond. It aims to build upon our areas of strength and heritage whilst also trailblazing new, exciting paths of research and research-inspired education.
2121: Founders of the Future focuses on four key campaign pillars: our people; our planet; our health; and our culture. All four are inextricably linked. Priority projects within these pillars will often intersect by design, working together to achieve the institution’s long-term goals and ambitions. Supporting a vibrant, diverse and inclusive culture creates a healthier society, a healthier planet and a healthier population.
