2121: Founders of the Future

Driving a second century of change through the power of philanthropy

2121: Founders of the Future

The University of Leicester’s primary mission has been consistent since it opened its doors in 1921. We exist to make the world a better place to live for everyone.

As we stand at the vanguard of our next 100 years, it is time to look forward - echoing both the actions and sentiments of our original founders by launching an exciting new campaign that reaches into the 22nd Century.

Ambitious, comprehensive and inclusive in its approach, 2121: Founders of the Future will transform the University of Leicester’s societal impact. With over 100 years of history, 2121 focuses on our future - building upon areas of strength and heritage, whilst also trailblazing new paths of research and research-inspired education.

2121: Founders of the Future will raise £100m: the most significant fundraising campaign since our founding.

The focus: enabling our next 100 years.

It will be fully comprehensive, facilitating a range of transformative projects across the University to firmly drive a second century of change.
