What is the difference between an Offer Holder Day and an Open Day?
Whether you’ve already joined us for an Open Day or haven’t had the chance yet, an Offer Holder Day is your opportunity to truly imagine life at Leicester. It’s when everything falls into place, and you can make a confident and well-informed decision about your future.
Our Offer Holder Days are designed exclusively for applicants who’ve received an offer, just like you. While Open Days are all about exploring possibilities, Offer Holder Days take you a step further — offering a closer look at your chosen subject, and giving you unique access to the people, spaces and experiences that will shape your time at Leicester.
What to expect at your Offer Holder Day
At the University of Leicester, your day will commence with a visit to your academic department, where you will:
- Find out more about your course in depth and discover what excites you most about the content
- Meet our inspiring staff and current students and have your questions answered
- Connect with your potential new course mates
- If you are planning on attending with a parent, carer, friend or someone for some support, they can enjoy their own dedicated sessions too, providing them with valuable information and support.
After lunch, a variety of activities await you:
- Take a tour of our beautiful campus and see what’s waiting for you beyond your studies
- Discover our accommodation options at The Village and The City, to find your future home away from home
- Attend general talks and learn more about managing your money and student life.
- Speak to our staff and students to have your questions answered.
How to book
Your exclusive invitation, including booking links will be sent to the email address you used when you applied. If you haven’t received your booking email within two weeks after getting your offer, please get in touch.
Joint honours
If you have an offer to study one of our joint honours courses, you only need to attend one Offer Holder Day. Your booking email will invite you to the correct subject event to ensure your day is tailored to your course.
Plan your day
All of our events take place between 9.30am and 4.00pm. A detailed schedule will be sent to you before the event, allowing you to plan your day effectively. Please ensure you check in when you arrive, as you will be given information to help you make the most of your day.
As well as where you need to go to check in, you will also be sent information about how to find us, where to park and how you can easily get around our campus. However, if you have any accessible requirements, please get in touch so we can ensure the correct arrangements are in place.
