Payment schedule
Campus-based payment schedule
Students studying on a campus based course (with the exception of those studying an ELTU course) are expected to pay their fees in a maximum of two instalments in each academic year.
You can choose to pay your fees as follows:
- At least 50% of the annual fee paid prior to the start of the course, with the remaining balance due according to the payment schedule in the table below. (From 2024/25 onwards, if you are an international student studying a postgraduate course, your first instalment needs to be at least 70%.)
- One instalment of 100% of the annual course fee paid prior to the start of the course
The date of these payments is dependent on your course start date:

If you are studying for less than the full academic year, you are expected to pay your fees in one instalment prior to commencing your period of study.
If you are on a postgraduate taught course that includes an industry placement, you are expected to pay for your placement in full at the start of your placement.
Accommodation fee payment schedule
If you are staying in University accommodation for 39, 40 or 42 week contracts, or for two terms, you are expected to pay your fees as follows for 2024/25:
Term 1 (September to December)
- 3 October 2024
Term 2 (January to April)
- 16 January 2025
Term 3 (May to July)
- 8 May 2025

Distance learning payment schedule
This section is only relevant to students who are paying some or all of their own liability directly to the University.
The relevant payment options and amounts will be detailed in your offer email. You can chose to pay your fees as follows:
- In full by the payment date stated on your offer.
- In one instalment per year for the number of years tuition fees are charged over for your course: the first by the payment date stated on your offer and subsequent payments on the same date the following year(s).
- Three equal instalments per year over the number of years tuition fees are charged over for your course: the first by the payment date stated on your offer and subsequent payments every 4 months.
Your first instalment must be received in full by the payment date stated in your offer before you can register for your studies.
Please allow 48 hours for card payments through our online e-pay site (or 7-15 days for other payment methods) to ensure that you meet the relevant payment deadline and can begin your studies on your intended start date.
