Profile

I am Professor of Respiratory Medicine at University of Leicester Honorary Consultant Respiratory Physician at University Hospitals of Leicester and Honorary Clinical Professor at Loughborough University. My sub-speciality clinical interests include management of advanced COPD lung volume reduction therapies sleep and home non-invasive ventilation. My research interests focus on chronic disease management and quality improvement in COPD with particular expertise in exercise performance physical training pulmonary rehabilitation nutrition and skeletal muscle dysfunction.

My main interests are in the epidemiology pathophysiology and management of chronic respiratory diseases especially COPD.
