University of Leicester proud supporters of the 2023 Leicester Business Festival
The University of Leicester are delighted to be playing a key role in supporting the Leicester Business Festival, running from 6 to 17 November.
The Leicester Business Festival is an annual fortnight of business events held across Leicester and Leicestershire and is the largest business event in the region. The festival draws a spotlight on the region's business strengths, and innovation and highlights its huge investment potential.
Space Park Leicester, the University’s £100 million facility dedicated to innovation and collaboration, hosted the launch of the festival on Monday, attended by key stakeholders and partners including Leicester City Mayor, Sir Peter Soulsby.
Through the two weeks, the University will also be hosting other events including a workshop on accelerating growth on Friday 10 November. The workshop, in partnership with NatWest and Leicester Start-ups, will be held at the School of Business campus, Brookfield.
The Universities Partnership (University of Leicester, De Montfort University and Loughborough University) and Blaby District Council are hosting the Brewing Innovative Ideas Roadshow, showcasing collaborative innovation opportunities including grant funding from and through the county's three universities.
William Wells, Deputy Director Research & Enterprise Division, University of Leicester said: “The great thing about the Leicester Business Festival is that it brings together the different parts of the regional business community allowing the different members to share their professional skills, insights, assets and facilities in the interests of improving the performance of the whole economy. This is critical in a global competitive context, where, as a university we are important partners in education, skills and innovation -vital to the economic health and productivity of the county.”
