University renews partnership with Santander Universities
Our University is to receive more funding from Santander Universities UK, bringing the value of the next three years of this partnership to over £300,000.
This philanthropic support will directly benefit over 400 students through postgraduate scholarships, travel awards, summer schools for pupils from local schools, an annual creative writing lecture and now includes ten £1000 Enterprise Awards for student start-up initiatives.
Lisa Davies, Senior Development Manager, said: “Our partnership with Santander Universities UK opens up transformative opportunities for students that they would otherwise not have — enabling them to pursue postgraduate degrees, make international study trips, or get ‘hands-on’ experience in industry.”

The focus of our funding has evolved over the years to ensure that we support the university community right where it is most needed. Entrepreneurship and internationalisation are both high on Leicester’s agenda and we are delighted to be able to assist the University in these key areas.”
