Leicester educational expertise benefits Gulf states
Education experts have headed to United Arab Emirates this week for a top-level meeting involving senior government officials from seven Gulf states.
The Gulf region Strategic Planning for Professional Development Workshop takes place from 1st-8th May and features academics from our School of Education.
They are leading a seven-day course on behalf of the Gulf Educational Training Centre (GETC) focusing on strategic planning and classes relating to various approaches to teacher professional development.
Dr Phil Wood and Dr Joan Smith from the University of Leicester will be guiding officials through different approaches to professional development, reflecting on case studies of good practice and current issues.
