Methods for Drug Discovery

Modern drug discovery involves utilising state-of-the-art methods. Thus, this module will provide theoretical backgrounds to commonly used methods in drug discovery such as NMR, crystallography and CryoEM, and will be taught with further lectures on practical applications to support learning.

Further lectures on methods of all aspects of protein expression, and protein modelling (including AlphaFold) will again be provided within a framework that provides real life examples and their applications. Topics will also include novel methods for drug delivery including fragment screening and approaches such as PROTACs.
