Economics of Education
Module code: EC3044
In this module you will study economic issues related to education production and policy, covering both theories and empirical results. You will draw from several fields in economics (Game Theory, microeconomics, public economics, labour economics, matching theory, growth theory) to build answers to questions related to education.
Emphasis is placed on the policy implications of economic analysis. Special attention is given as well to the relationship between key features of the education system, education policy and the equal opportunity goal, and last but not least key equity-efficiency trade-offs that education policymakers face.
