The module provides an introduction to fundamental concepts of mortality modelling that Actuaries use in their day-to-day work. The appropriate terminology is firstly introduced then the four basic models of mortality are explained. Different ways of estimation of model parameters from life tables or other source of data are discussed with numerous examples from real life.
