Italian Language (Beginners)

Our language modules for Beginners are intensive courses which bring you up to A2 Level of the common European Framework for languages (CEFR) in a year.
Language study will be based on an integrated communicative approach and will be placed in a context that relates to contemporary life, society and culture in Italy. There are four contact hours per week dedicated to developing all of the main language skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking).
A wide range of teaching and learning methods, materials and resources are used throughout the course in order to support different learning styles. Preparation and independent study tasks set by the tutor will form an essential part of the learning process. Small-group teaching and the use of virtual learning environments will optimise your progress to achieve A1 level of the Common European Framework for Languages (CEFR).
Language skills/topics
The skills and topics covered focus on developing your abilities in accordance with the requirements of the CEFR, and in the areas of Listening, Reading, Spoken Interaction, Spoken Production, and Writing.
