Exploring Psychology

Module code: BS0013

Psychology is a broad discipline which comprises a number of professional and scientific fields. During the module you will be introduced to the main topics within 5 core areas of Psychology:

• Cognitive
• Applied
• Biological
• Social 
• Developmental

During the course of the module, you will acquire a number of skills necessary to prepare you for success on your degree programme. We will target specifically (but not exclusively) academic writing, group work, oral presentation skills, data analysis and critical thinking. This is to help you move towards your potential by enhancing your knowledge, key transferable skills and self-awareness through reflection and critical enquiry.
