Sex and Gender in Global Politics

Throughout history, cisgender men have held the vast majority of positions of power. This imbalance has had an effect on the role, policies and actions of states and societies. In this module, you will look at the role of sex and gender within global politics.

You'll critique leading feminist scholarship on the state and public policy, participation and representation, globalisation, war and peace, and democracy and governance. You'll also evaluate the relationship between feminist and non-feminist approaches to studying Politics and International Relations.
