Clinical Leadership 2

In this module, key concepts of leadership in healthcare will be further explored that will encourage you to reflect on the skills, knowledge and behaviours you need to develop in order to be an effective health care leader. You will continue to be in small learning sets where you will have the opportunity to discuss and reflect upon your experiences of leadership in clinical practice with a local midwife/nurse leader.

The knowledge, skills and attitudes required to lead others in healthcare practice, as well as the key theories of leadership and how these relate to leading others in an aspect of healthcare will be discussed. You will reflect on your own personal leadership and managements skills and identify areas for future development in leading others. You will also work as part of a team to explore aspects of leadership in practice, further developing your familiarity with the NHS Leadership Academy’s Nine Dimensions of Leadership.
