This module is a ‘practice’ work-based module. It will provide you with a creative, structured, and well-supported opportunity to develop, undertake and critically reflect upon a project of your own choosing in a museum or gallery context you are familiar with, or your own place of work.

This module is primarily designed for students who are in a paid position, placement, volunteering or freelancing in a museum or other cultural organisation, so that they can bring a project they are working on or would like to develop into dialogue with their studies. Unfortunately, we are unable to organise the placement for you. The module requires 86 hours of self-directed work place based learning. The hours of work-based learning can be distributed in whichever way works best for you throughout the module.

In advance of the module you will be sent a survey asking you to describe the project you wish to undertake. This will be reviewed by the Module Lead, at which point it will either be confirmed or they will contact you with further questions.
