Extended Report (Action Research)

Module code: MS7017

This is a practical based module where you’ll apply media and communication concepts to understand and propose solutions to a social justice related issue, challenge or problem. Between you, your supervisor and an organisation, you’ll decide on a suitable research topic. You’ll be using academic sources to fuel your research, and being able to communicate this to a non-academic audience will be central to this project.

Throughout the module you’ll reflect upon your fieldwork with the host organisation, and how you can collect data and develop strategies to address specific issues. Regular meetings with your supervisor will help to guide you, and make the most of your extended project. The skills and experiences you will gain during this module will be invaluable to your future employability and career planning.
