Social and Environmental Accounting

This module will introduce you to current forms and roles of social and environmental accounting and how these can be explained and analysed. The concept of sustainability and the prospects of accounting for sustainable development will receive particular attention in this module. 

The involvement of various stakeholders in making social and environmental accounting happen will be a recurrent theme. Investigating interactions and networks among stakeholders will give you key insights into the role of different political, economic, and occupational groups and interests in facilitating and constraining accounting change.
