Advanced Clinical Negligence

This module offers the opportunity for students to study negligence law in greater depth than on the health law I module. In addition to the key principles of negligence law (duty of care, standard of care and causation), other topics covered will include issues in clinical negligence litigation:  limitation and damage; evidential issues in clinical negligence cases; information disclosure and the therapeutic exception; criminal clinical negligence; and reform of the clinical negligence system.
