Clinical Legal Skills

You'll work in the Law School’s Legal Advice Clinic, dealing with real clients and their legal issues as the backdrop to this exciting module. After some initial training, you will work in pairs approximately once a fortnight to research your client’s legal problem, then interview the client, before advising in person and in writing, under the supervision of a solicitor. You will develop your professional and legal skills, and gain confidence through this valuable work in the community. As you will be working in the Legal Advice Clinic, you will need to comply with the Clinic Rules, and approach the module with commitment, good time-keeping, and professionalism.
