From Drawing to Painting in the Italian Renaissance

This module examines the ways in which Italian Renaissance artists employed drawings in a variety of media to make their paintings.  Each weekly seminar will concentrate upon a specific artistic commission - whether for an altarpiece or fresco cycle - with the result that you will gain a general grasp of a broad historical development through detailed study of individual projects.
