Remote Sensing

Module code: GY2200

We will explore the increasing use of satellite data within geographical studies in both human and physical environments. We start by learning how satellite images are derived, how we distinguish different surfaces in image data, and how we understand processes operating over a range of spatial and temporal scales. The lectures are supported by hands-on experience with commercial image-processing software to assist in the analysis and interpretation of a range of satellite images.
