Victorian Perspectives

This module will introduce you to key themes and perspectives within a variety of social and cultural issues pertinent to the Victorian period. You will explore and evaluate these perspectives to gain a good interdisciplinary grounding in Victorian ideas of literature, culture, history and society in a national and even global context, depending on topic, and be able reflect critically upon the impact of social, cultural and historical factors in understanding Victorian texts and contexts.
