This module aims to further develop your data analysis abilities. As a scientist, you will be presented with ever more complicated experimental designs, as you become interested in the effects of more and more factors. Your current statistical knowledge will be found wanting. You can solve this by learning ever more specific tests, some of which will be complications of tests you already know. But there is an easier way.

In this module, we will show you that using modern computing we can understand a large number of tests as variations of one test, the general linear model (GLM). If we learn how to use GLMs, we remove the need to constantly learn ever more obscure tests. This both reduces our workload and is more intellectually satisfying.
