Ceramics were produced by many human societies from prehistory until the present day and as such are one of the main material remains studied by archaeologists all over the world. In this module you will master different perspectives to approach the study of ceramics, ranging from quantitative assessments of ceramic assemblages in excavations to technological analysis using different scientific techniques. You will be assessed on your understanding of how the different perspectives can be combined on ceramic research and on an individual project that you can develop at our labs.
