The Leicester Medieval Research Centre
About us
The Leicester Medieval Research Centre has a lively postdoctoral and postgraduate culture, and people associated with our Centre are either working on innovative research projects or studying for Masters and research degrees in the full range of disciplines represented within the College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities.
More than 15 research-active staff work on the medieval period within Archaeology and Ancient History, History (including the Centre for Regional and Local History), English and History of Art and Film, with research interests in fields ranging from late antique archaeology to the visual culture of the 16th century. Scholars in the Centre regularly attract funding for major research projects.
The MRC is affiliated to CARMEN: Co-operative for the Advancement of Research through a Medieval European Network.
