International students

English language requirements

Any student who has not completed their education in one of the countries which we accept as being taught in the medium of English must pass an English Language test at the right level. Our current requirements are:

  • IELTS: 7.5 overall, with no component below 7.0
  • TOEFL (internet-based test): Overall score of 110 (minimum of 24 in each component)

Learn more about English language requirements on the University's international student pages.

We also accept the International Baccalaureate, for which we require at least 36 points overall, including three Higher Level subjects (including Chemistry or Biology and one of Chemistry, Biology, Physics or Psychology), and three Standard Level subjects. Each subject must be passed with a minimum of 6 points. We do not consider bonus points.

All applicants must have evidence of academic study within three years of application.
