The Anthropocene Research Group at Leicester is inclusive and involves researchers across the School of Geography, Geology and the Environment, School of Business, Media and Communication, Museum Studies, Engineering.
In particular, we aim to research:
- New forms of production and consumption
- Alternatives business models
- Connecting the human history and its impact on the future
- Time and unexplored space of how human will evolve
- The materiality of the Anthropocene
- Sci art - artistic methods can inform scientific discovery (e.g. sonification in popular culture – and films on the Anthropocene)
- How are financial changes affecting the Anthropocene
- Plastics and cement
