As we expand our portfolio of joint initiatives, we further strengthen links with India and explore how collaborative education and research programmes can transform healthcare.
Centre for Digital Health and Precision Medicine
The Centre for Digital Health and Precision Medicine is a visionary research centre that is aimed to transform the future of healthcare through data driven technology. The Centre launched in January 2025 at The Apollo University campus, in Chittoor, where the centre’s headquarters will be based. The hub at the University of Leicester will be based at the BHF Cardiovascular Research Centre at Glenfield Hospital, Leicester.
The Centre brings together the research expertise and resources of the partners to revolutionise patient care, by developing novel digital and personalised solutions using advanced analytical approaches. The co-directors of the centre are Professor Sir Nilesh J Samani, Professor of Cardiology at the University of Leicester, and Dr Sujoy Kar, Adjunct Faculty, The Apollo University, Chief Medical Information Officer, Apollo Hospitals.

Degree programmes in Computer Science BEng, Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering BEng and Business and Management BBA
We have collaborated with The Apollo University, an initiative led by the Apollo Hospital group, to deliver a series of higher education degree programmes focussed on Computer Science, Engineering and Business Management. These programmes offer students an accessible and affordable route to earning a globally recognised UK degree. Our collaboration combines our commitment to excellence, academic expertise and dedication to deliver high quality teaching. Students can achieve their educational aspirations whilst gaining international exposure and benefit from an integrated curriculum which has been collaboratively designed between both institutions.
