The Chemical Education group has an excellent track record in the development and research of innovative teaching approaches for the delivery of pure chemistry, pharmaceutical and forensic chemistry degree programmes. Our work on the design of Context and Problem-Based Learning (C/PBL) activities in chemistry and digital pre-labs is well known in the UK and beyond. This work is effectively complimented by our research into the integration of digital approaches in the learning and teaching of chemistry, the embedding of workplace skills in chemistry curricula at Higher Education level, the gamification of chemistry education and continued innovation of teaching practice.
