The climate emergency and global species extinction crisis call for urgent action to ensure the future habitability of our planet. The world must achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 to stay below the threshold for dangerous climate change of +1.5°C. The Institute for Environmental Futures carries out transformative and transdisciplinary research into human-environment systems together with our stakeholders and partners. We co-develop policy solutions and innovations towards an environmentally sustainable future.

This talk explores how empowering women and promoting gender inclusivity are essential for effective, sustainable solutions, emphasizing that true progress in climate resilience depends on integrating diverse perspectives and ensuring equal opportunities for all.
Environmental Futures Café
Everyone is welcome to join our Environmental Futures Café. There is no set topic for this term, but instead we encourage institute members and anyone who is interested to join us and discuss any relevant topic on your mind, from ongoing projects to recent environmental publications.
The café will meet every Wednesday from 16 October till 11 December.
