Rachel Abounouar

Rachel Abounouar passed away on the morning of 12 December 2019 after a five-year battle against cancer in which she redefined the meaning of strength, bravery and determination. Rachel joined the University in 2009 as a tutor in the English Language Teaching Unit (ELTU).

First photo from Junos Jupiter orbit released

NASA’s Juno spacecraft has sent its first in-orbit view. Juno’s visible-light camera was turned on six days after Juno fired its main engine and placed itself into orbit around the largest planetary inhabitant of our solar system. The new view was obtained on 10 July at 6.
