Members of our University have again been recognised in The Queen’s New Year’s Honours. Professor Sir Alec Jeffreys, who discovered genetic fingerprinting at this University, has been has been appointed as a Companion of Honour (CH).

Leicester is celebrating LGBT History Month with two events. On 15 February, a talk on Faith and Sexual Orientation was delivered at the Attenborough Arts Centre from 12noon to 1.30pm by Dianna Anderson from Oxford University.
