A University of Leicester graduate has received the distinction of a royal role. Riaz Ravat BEM has been confirmed as one of eight new Deputy Lieutenants for the county of Leicestershire commissioned under oath, in honour of their service to the local community.

There have been two previous missions to Mercury; NASA’s Mariner 10 mission, which completed three flybys of Mercury in 1974 and 1975, and MESSENGER. MESSENGER was the first mission to orbit Mercury.
