There are exceptions to Senate Regulation 5, which include:
- For students commencing their studies in 2018/19 or later and who were due to graduate in 2021
- Exceptional variation for students who were due to graduate in 2020
- For students who commenced their studies before 2018/19 and are due to graduate in 2021 or later
