Profile
I am an IODP Technician within the International Ocean Discovery Programme - IODP(3) based at University of Leicester. I am part of an established team engaged in the acquisition and analysis of core petrophysical and borehole measurement data for IODP and other research drilling/coring programmes. I have a PhD in petrophysics, my past research focuses on evaluating and improving petrophysical models and extending rock-physics relationships. I have a background in earth sciences and geophysics. I have gained the status of Associate Fellow in higher education through experiential route whilst working at University of Leicester. IODP is part of the ECORD Science Operator (ESO for short). ECORD stands for European Consortium for Ocean Research Drilling, ESO consists of University of Leicester, British Geological Survey (BGS), MARUM (University of Bremen) and the University of Montpellier. IODP team based at University of Leicester and Montpellier provide support during planning, acquisition and interpretation of downhole logging data and core petrophysics data.
