Profile
I am a Lecturer at the School of Management at the University of Leicester in the UK. I recently completed my PhD in Sociology at the University of Oxford, where I was a John Swire Scholar at St. Antony's College, funded by a full scholarship (2020-24). I am a sociologist interested in work and employment, time and temporality, emotions, precarity and cross-national comparative methods. My research examines the cultural changes underlying the transformation of work and technology, with a focus on self-employed professionals in the online freelancing labour market. Prior work focuses on inequality and has been published in The Sociological Review, American Behavioural Scientist and Asian Population Studies. Prior to graduate school, I worked as a creative in tech startup companies.
